South Shore Collaborative Psychiatry is a growing boutique outpatient psychiatric practice seeking a thoughtful and collaborative Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our team.

Our practice emphasizes evidence based, patient centered care in a supportive professional environment where clinicians can grow their skills while maintaining autonomy in clinical decision making.

This position is ideal for a PMHNP with approximately 1 to 3 years of clinical experience who values mentorship, collaboration, and building long term therapeutic relationships with patients.

The role will begin part time with the opportunity to grow a stable outpatient caseload over time as referrals continue to expand.

Clinical Focus
A portion of the practice specializes in working with law enforcement officers, first responders, and their families. The ideal candidate should have a genuine interest in serving this community and an appreciation for the unique occupational stressors associated with these professions.
Experience working with trauma related disorders, anxiety, depression, and burnout in high stress occupations is welcomed but not required.
Responsibilities
• Psychiatric evaluation and diagnosis
• Medication management for adult patients
• Incorporation of brief psychotherapy interventions when appropriate
• Clinical documentation within the practice EHR
• Collaboration with therapists and other members of the treatment team as needed
Qualifications
• Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC)
• Active New York State NP license or license eligible
• DEA registration
• Approximately 1 to 3 years of psychiatric clinical experience preferred
• Thoughtful, patient centered approach to medication management
• Comfortable discussing complex cases and engaging in collaborative clinical dialogue
• Interest in mentorship and ongoing professional development
• Passion for working with first responders and high stress occupational populations
Compensation
This is a 1099 independent contractor position.
Compensation is based on completed patient visits and varies by visit type and experience.
Typical clinician compensation includes:
• $80-90 per 30 minute follow up visit
• $160-185 for new patient evaluations
As clinicians build their caseload within the practice, opportunities for increased reimbursement and expanded schedules may become available.
